CLC Urges New FEC to Quickly Implement HLOGA Bundling and Travel Provisions Today, the Campaign Legal Center in a letter to the Federal Election Commission urged the new members of the Commission to quickly complete pending and overdue rulemakings related to the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA). The Commission is required to promulgate regulations to implement two HLOGA provisions—one creating new restrictions on candidate travel aboard charter airplanes and another requiring political committees to disclose information regarding lobbyists who bundle contributions for those committees.
These HLOGA provisions are long overdue for implementation. The FEC must act quickly to apply the provisions in the closing stages of the current election cycle.
